Howdy! My name’s Kat and I’m a creative strategist, producer, scriptwriter, video editor, and cinematographer in the business of winning over hearts and minds. (That’s my dog, Teddy in the pic to your left. I’m the one with the beanie.) Anyway, just finished up an awesome gig as Message Mobilization Director for the Democratic National Committee where I managed the social, video, and studio teams. Prior to that, I spent about a decade on Capitol Hill overseeing online, design, and video operations for Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the Democratic Caucus of the U.S. House of Representatives. Born to a family of Irish storytellers, I was taught early on that it’s up to each of us to use the talents and abilities we’ve been given to fight for a better world. You don’t have to look very far to see all that’s at stake, particularly at this moment in our country’s history.
This past election cycle, I traveled to more than 50 American cities to film the powerful ways in which public policy directly impacts the lives of others. It’s difficult to describe how deeply I’ve been affected by those I’ve met on the road who’ve allowed me to share their human experience where they live, learn, work, and pray. I was so inspired by the people I met, that I decided to make storytelling my career and launched an independent production company to serve Democrats and progressive organizations best-in-class persuasion pieces that activate others and create lasting change. Interested in making something awesome? Great. Let’s get in touch.
